Mayday Beijing Bird's Nest Concert | Reyn Audio & ACME Sound and Light Support

April 30 – May 18, 2026, Mayday's "5525+2 Back to That Day (Infinite Extension Edition)" tour kicked off at Beijing National Stadium (Bird's Nest), with 100,000 fans in attendance.

The Bird's Nest holds up to 91,000 people, with a peak height of 69 meters. Its bowl-shaped structure and multi-tiered stands pose challenges for even sound coverage. Reyn Audio deployed a professional line array system to build the sound field.

For this concert, the Reyn Audio team brought RAFALE15,RAFALE2, and line array laser positioning calibration modules AL and AL1 to build a delay acoustic network, ensuring that audience members in the outer sections could clearly hear vocals and instruments.

At delay positions Upper 4/5 and Upper 3/6, two arrays of 8 RAFALE15 and 6 RAFALE2 line array speakers were deployed to cover the outer stadium. RAFALE15 handled mid-low frequency long-throw projection, while RAFALE2 handled vocal penetration and mid-high frequency resolution. The two systems complemented each other to deliver clear sound to the entire audience.

At delay positions Upper 1/8 and Upper 2/7, two arrays of 12 RAFALE2 speakers served as the main outer fill and side coverage units, filling in gaps from the Main PA and reinforcing sound pressure and vocal imaging in the far side sections.

The entire system was equipped with Reyn Audio's line array laser modules AL+AL1 intelligent calibration system, which monitors the hanging position and angle of the line arrays in real time and automatically adjusts acoustic parameters based on temperature and humidity changes, preventing sound speed drift and phase misalignment, and ensuring balanced sound pressure and stable coverage throughout the venue.

The lighting for this concert used equipment from Foshan Yifeng ACME: LYRA, VIRGO, SOLARIS, THUNDERSTRUCK, PULSAR S2, LIGHTNING, PIXEL LINE IP, ULTRA BLINDER IP, ARES IP, TORNADO, and the MDG haze generator The ONE.

A dual-head effect light. One side washes beam colors, the other produces pixel strobe. Combined with an electronic haze system, it switches between sharp beams and soft halos, creating an immersive time-space illusion.

A linear pixel strobe bar mounted along the extended stage sides and edges, using pixel light to outline the stage's three-dimensional lines. Creates flowing light trails and gradient color washes, softening edge shadows for a cleaner performance view.
