The Maolan Valley International Music Festival—Qiannan's first-ever international music extravaganza—was held from October 1 to 3, 2017, delivering a unique, valley-nested musical carnival for music lovers.

The festival’s stage was crafted by top domestic designers, featuring a jaw-dropping and mysterious bat-themed design.

The lineup featured 15 elite domestic bands—including legendary acts like Xu Wei, Li Zhi, Black Panther, Mishang (Tong Yang), and Hanggai, who embody deep musical passion and life philosophies, alongside rising stars of original ethnic music. They were joined by 9 legendary international bands, each with their own distinct style, and 10 of the most renowned artists from the Psytrance scene, performing in spectacular rotation.

To power this massive event, the sound system was equipped with Reyn Audio gear, including 48 RL1 units, 24 RL1 SUBs, 12 RL0.5 units, and 16 M600 monitors.
