September 12 marked the grand opening of Yuan Yiqi's 2026 "UNKNOWN" Tour 10th Anniversary Special Edition at the Shanghai Gymnasium.

Reyn Audio tailor-made a complete professional sound reinforcement system for this 10th anniversary special, centered around flagship line arrays, subwoofer matrices, and amplifier system racks. On stage, a full set of ACME professional lighting matrices outlined layered, three-dimensional visual imagery. With the dual reinforcement of sound and light, every corner of the Shanghai Gymnasium enjoyed both superb visual aesthetics and optimal listening zones.

Precision Preview with TURANDOT

Before the show, the Reyn Audio sound team completed 3D modeling and sound field preview optimization for the Shanghai Gymnasium relying on the TURANDOT acoustic system platform. This platform can map the interface and equipment accurately without connecting to live devices, pre-simulating sound propagation paths, coverage ranges, and energy distribution, while precisely predicting sound field attenuation and coverage blind spots, laying a solid foundation for the acoustic quality of the entire performance.

Main Reinforcement System

According to the structure of the Shanghai Gymnasium, the main reinforcement (Main) was split into left and right line arrays, symmetrically hung above both sides of the stage—composed of 24 RL15 (RAFALE15) main units and 8 RL2 (RAFALE2) units. The two arrays opened up in a fan shape, with sound beams cascading like a waterfall to fill the entire main grandstand bowl area.

The RL15 (RAFALE15) boasts a wide frequency response range and efficient sound pressure output capability with extremely strong penetration, easily covering the oversized audience area of the entire venue and steadily supporting the core sound field of the performance. Whether it is Yuan Yiqi's high-pitched and powerful high notes, delicate and soft lyrical vocals, or dynamically explosive dance arrangements, everything is accurately restored, with transparent, clean vocals and clear, well-defined instrument layers.

Paired with RL2 (RAFALE2) auxiliary main reinforcement speakers to complete the details of the main sound field, it further optimized the front sound coverage of the stage, making the sound quality in the core vocalization area of the stage more three-dimensional and full, with natural transitions between strong and weak dynamics, perfectly adapting to the changing musical styles of singing and dancing stages.

Fill System

Because the two sides of the stage happen to fall on the edge of the main reinforcement coverage, high-frequency details decay first, and the vocals heard by the audience on the flanks tend to be muddy, muffled, and lacking in clarity.

To this end, the fill (Fill) arrays were hung outward along the sides of the stage, with a total of 24 RL2 (RAFALE2) deployed on the flanks (Side) to precisely cover the areas on both sides of the inner field, filling the main reinforcement blind spots and ensuring that flank audiences receive the same clear and balanced listening experience as the central area.

Low-Frequency Matrix

Low frequencies are the soul of a concert experience. This performance adopted a "flown + ground" dual subwoofer configuration: 8 flown GS218 (CANNON218) as Fly sub and 18 GS218 (CANNON218) stacked on the ground as Ground Sub to create a three-dimensional surround ultra-low sound field.

The linkage of dual subwoofer equipment made the low frequencies rich, solid, and full of elasticity without being booming or muddy. It can both highlight the explosive dynamics of singing and dancing stages and delicately set off the warm and healing atmosphere of lyrical tracks, featuring distinct high and low audio layers and injecting a unique rhythm into the 10th-anniversary special.

Details-in-Charge

The front-fill (Front-fill) is composed of 10 RX12 (COBRA12) point-source speakers, which can accurately supplement the vocal details and micro-layers of the arrangement in the near-stage area, allowing front-row audiences to immerse themselves in capturing the emotions of the stage performance and its super strong live appeal.

On stage, to adapt to Yuan Yiqi's high-intensity, high-dynamic singing-and-dancing performance, the venue was equipped with 8 M1 (ABRAMS) professional stage monitor speakers. M1 (ABRAMS) possesses the core advantages of ultra-low latency, pure sound quality, and support for horizontal and vertical multi-angle adjustments. It can transmit accompaniment and vocal signals to various areas of the stage in real-time and clearly, helping artists accurately control pitch, rhythm, and stage positioning to calmly handle high-density singing and dancing performances.

Amplifier Central Hub

The entire sound reinforcement system is driven by RA1 and RA2 amplifier system racks, which can accurately match the power adaptation requirements of all types of speakers in the venue. Under the continuous operation state of high volume and high load of the concert, it can still stably output with zero overload, zero disconnection, and zero distortion. At the same time, it can intelligently adapt to music style switching and sound pressure dynamic changes, finely regulating the sound field strength and high-low frequency ratios, keeping the entire sound reinforcement system in an optimal operating state at all times to achieve refined and professional high-level presentation of stage sound effects.

The stage visuals for this 10th-anniversary special were strongly supported by ACME lighting equipment, utilizing AECO 15, TB 5 IP, STROBE 3 IP, CM S2, TB 1060, STROBE 5 IP, and BL 100 IP throughout the venue.

Light, shadow, and sound waves intertwined into a net, dyeing the night sky of the Shanghai Gymnasium into a brilliant sea of stars, allowing every audience member to immerse themselves in this ten-year musical journey.

Starting from Shanghai and looking back in Shanghai—this city has witnessed every step of Yuan Yiqi's transition from greenness to poise, and also witnessed her writing the words "a singer's dream" into reality through piece after piece of original work.
