On August 7–9, Mandopop benchmark Emil Chau brought his classic tour to Taiyuan, igniting the summer night in the "Dragon City" with three consecutive massive shows. Familiar classic hits were performed back-to-back, accompanied by heartwarming moments of thousands singing in unison, recreating unforgettable youth memories for the audience. Facing the wide spatial sound field and multi-tiered seating coverage demands of large venues, the Taiyuan concert once again teamed up with Reyn Audio professional touring sound systems. Utilizing customized reinforcement solutions and refined speaker array layouts, it stably delivered pure, delicate, and high-fidelity sound quality, ensuring flawless performances across all three shows.
Targeting the spatial structure and acoustic characteristics of the Taiyuan venue, the REYN Audio technical team relied on the TURANDOT acoustic system platform to tailor a three-dimensional global reinforcement system. They optimized the full-link configuration—including main PA, side fills, subwoofers, front fills, and stage monitoring—balancing vocal texture, instrument details, and sound pressure uniformity throughout the venue. This completely avoided common issues in large venues such as uneven sound fields, muddy vocals, and low-frequency boom, perfectly matching Emil Chau's warm, translucent, and highly recognizable vocal signature, making ballads delicate and healing, and rhythmic tracks full of tension.

For the Taiyuan stop, the main PA system featured 24 RL15(RAFALE 15) full-range speakers and 8 RL2 (RAFALE 2) fill speakers , forming the core stage sound field with dual-sided arrays. Serving as the primary full-range unit, the RL15(RAFALE 15) boasts exceptional vocal reproduction and high-frequency extension, blanketing the venue in clear, transparent audio and solidly supporting the primary sound pressure for the 10,000-seat arena. Paired with the RL2(RAFALE 2) auxiliary fill units, it precisely filled gaps in the main PA sound field and corrected acoustic deviations, ensuring clear layers and pure textures for vocals and instruments, perfectly matching the lyrical tone of Emil Chau's classic hits.
To achieve dead-zone-free coverage across the entire venue, the side fill system adopted a partitioned, refined layout featuring 5 units of Side 1: RL2(RAFALE 2) and 15 units of Side 2: RL2(RAFALE 2). This targeted upper grandstand areas and floor side blind spots, balancing the listening experience for every seat and ensuring that every audience member—whether on the floor or in the stands—received a consistent, pure, and full auditory experience. The low-frequency system maintained a professional dual configuration: 12 flown GS218 (CANNON 218) subwoofers paired with 30 ground-stacked GS218(CANNON 218) subwoofers. Aerial and ground subwoofers worked in tandem to deliver deep low-end extension and solid rhythms, providing a rich, impactful low-end without masking the vocals, greatly enhancing the live atmosphere and immersive experience.
For detailed stage acoustic support, the entire system was comprehensively and professionally configured. Eight RX12(COBRA 12) front-fill speakers were deployed at the lip of the stage to eliminate near-field listening gaps and bridge near-to-far audio transitions. The performance area was equipped with 13 M1(ABRAMS) professional monitor speakers, providing the singer and band with clear, stable live monitoring to ensure precise synchronization of vocals and instrumentation.
The Taiyuan concert stage was simultaneously enhanced by ACME lighting equipment throughout, where lighting and premium sound complemented each other to elevate the overall stage presentation. The successful conclusion of Emil Chau's Taiyuan tour once again underscores the hardcore strength and deployment stability of Reyn Audio's large-scale touring reinforcement systems.
