WeiBird’s (Wei Li-an) "HI WE1" Concert Tour wrapped up with resounding success at the Taipei Arena. Tens of thousands of fans gathered as a sea of glow sticks accompanied full-venue sing-alongs, filling the Taipei summer night with his healing original tracks. The entire lighting and sound equipment suite for this performance was co-provided by the dual brands: ACME Lighting and Reyn Audio.

Audio System Solution: Overcoming the Acoustic Challenges of an L-Shaped Stage

The stage featured a unique, ultra-long diagonal L-shaped structure. While visually striking, the venue's immense depth and irregular sound field distribution posed a high risk of acoustic imbalance between the front, back, and sides. Compounded by a back-to-back two-day schedule, the demands on the audio system's precision were exceptionally rigorous.

The onsite deployment utilized acoustic field floor plans, SPL (Sound Pressure Level) rendering maps, and the comprehensive TURANDOT acoustic system platform. Through professional pre-event simulation and design, the system faithfully reproduced the vocalist's natural voice, guaranteeing flawless overall audio quality.

1. Main PA Delay Arrays

Suspended in tiers above the stage were the RL15 (RAFALE15) and RL2 (RAFALE2) line arrays.

By constructing a layered delay architecture, the team corrected the time-of-arrival differences between the near and far fields. This effectively resolved issues such as far-field high-frequency attenuation, audio latency, and acoustic disconnection in the grandstands—ensuring synchronized vocals and transparent detail from the front-row floor seats all the way to the top-tier nosebleeds.

2. Side-Fill Arrays

RL2 (RAFALE2) and RL3 (RAFALE3) side-fill speakers were deployed on both sides of the stage to eliminate acoustic blind spots within the arena. This balanced the left and right sound pressure levels and minimized audio degradation caused by wall reflections, achieving a seamless, well-rounded listening experience across all seating sections.

3、 Front-Fill Speakers

Along the stage lip, RL3 (RAFALE3) speakers were utilized to cover the immediate areas of the L-shaped extension. This filled in the front-row gaps that the main PA could not cover, crystal-clearly rendering vocal nuances and accompaniment details during singer interactions and guest duets, thereby eliminating any listening discrepancy between the front and rear rows.

4. Stage Monitor System

M1 (ABRAMS) stage monitors were deployed across the entire performance area, covering the lead vocalist, the band, and the dancers. With guest artists Masa (from Mayday), Evan Yo, and Rhydian Vaughan taking turns on stage to collaborate, the pure and stable monitor signals ensured pitch and rhythmic precision for everyone. Even when WeiBird moved himself to tears while performing I'm Good, his vocal delivery remained rock-solid.

5. Power Amplification Equipment

RA1, RA2, and RA3 amplifier racks were employed. Leveraging low-distortion amplification technology, they delivered stable power output tailored to a diverse range of musical genres.

ACME Lighting System Elevates the Immersive Stage

The production featured a diverse lineup of ACME professional fixtures: XA 600 BSW IP (MANA HYBRID), CM 1000Z (THETA FX), TB 5 IP (TORNADO), TB 1060 (SUPER DOTLINE), STROBE 5 IP (HAIL), and STROBE 3 IP (PIXEL LINE IP). The seamless synergy of light and shadow, paired with the premium sound reinforcement system, delivered a fully immersive audio-visual feast for WeiBird’s hit-filled setlist.
