On January 25, 2018, Foshan Industrial Design Week kicked off at the new Foshan Library. Centered around the theme "New Design, New Model, New Era," the event showcased Foshan's innovative achievements in industrial design and awarded certificates of honor to outstanding projects from the "Mayor's Cup."

The 2017 Foshan "Mayor's Cup" Industrial Design Competition received 3,708 entries from across China (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) as well as abroad. After rigorous selection rounds, the Reyn Audio RL1 Laser-Positioning Line Array Speaker stood out among thousands of entries to claim the top honor: Best Design Project in the Product Category.
